The metal cylinder body expands out to the cylinder liner when the expander nut is tightened
The liner is then pulled when the bridge nut is tightened
Both the expander and bridge nuts include a thrust bearing for friction free operation
A convenient handle can be used to lift the liner form the cylinder block and also provides a convenient way to transport the liner
